MAN can my Mom take a punch! lol Right in the neck! SMACKO! hahahahahahaaaaaa...sorry Mom. That looked like it may have hurt a little bit. Can I get you some ice? Maybe an icepick? New family? Awww, youre so damned cute when you fold over sideways like that... lol. I did not really punch my mother. In the neck. We had a great visit, or at least I did, I dont think I managed to shut the hell up the entire time, I had too many things on my mind that were bugging me and, as you can see, blabbing is how I try to work through those things. The major topic yesterday was religion lol...but whats so cool about that is both my Mom and my Sister, at one time, were the banes of my existence when it came to God. The Church suggests that we conform to a certain code of conduct and worship a certain way, and people raised on religion have a tendency to take it very very seriously! lol And they force the younger people in their lives to conform, etc... well, I never conformed, but the plus side is I can discuss religion objectively with them now. See? You pitch a big enough fit, eventually they will cave!! No, I mean I appreciate being able to express opinions that at one time would have had my Mother performing an exorcism and my Sister slapping my head repeatedly. I would have deserved it, too, because back then I was a total prick about it, as opposed to now when Im the voice of friggen reason I guess. I havent gotten brave enough to express some...well...any of my opinions on the subject to my brother-in-law Dave, but thats out of sheer respect for his commitment to a Godly way of life. St . David, and I dont mean that facetiously. If ever there was a man of God worthy of respect, its that guy. Hes been in my life since I was in kindergarten, the only male in my family aside from my big brother that stuck around, and hes been everything from a playmate to a father figure to me. Truly a great man. So, I keep my yap shut about my heretical attitude towards religion when hes in the room. My sister gets a little bit nervous if I start to go off before Dave leaves for work, keeps giving me the Zip it! gesture. Its not that hes unreasonable, its that I dont trust myself with regards to annoying the crap out of him, and Im pretty sure he can take me lol. Not that he would, but...he is armed and a Republican, so...;) Not that I have a point here, but I greatly treasure my family. Is it obvious? Am I making you sick? I spent so many years avoiding them because I was ashamed of who I had become and couldnt bear to see myself reflected in their eyes, and that was such a waste! I have a sister that I rarely get to see, she and her kids dont live locally, and were all broke so traveling to visit doesnt happen very often, and I regret that very much. Sometimes I feel that my brother and I take each others existence for granted...he lives 20 minutes away and we see each other once every couple of months. Life gets busy, we all get wrapped up in ourselves, and we let chances slip right on by, thinking theres always going to be time. I love that I get to go and visit with my Mom and Sister on a weekly basis...I need that friendship weve regained. We never really lost it, but I was emotionally incapable for too many years due to drug use and selfishness, so it suffered. I love having that back, it helps me maintain my humanity...but at the same time it makes me miss those parts of my family that arent around, especially at this time of year. Christmas can be a rough one for the Fralick clan, so Im feeling these things keenly at this time. And babbling... Heh. One more thing. Nicole is getting a new pet, and it wont get hit by a car. For one thing it wont be able to go outside on its own, lollll...for whatever reason, her class has been studying crayfish and shes going to bring one home to keep. snort...Im at a loss here, do they do tricks? Take big dumps? Do they fart? Do they like to chase cats? Nicole is excited, she just found out that shes one of the lucky kids to get one...there are only 5. A pet mud-bug...how weird. I hope he winds up with lots of friends and they can all come over for dinner! I cant wait to find out what shes going to name it lol. Have a day. :)
