MANAGING YOUR STRESS: A many times we are overwhelmed with many activities and engagements that leads to stressful moments in our lives. Let me share a few tips that can help you manage your stress: 1. Take a stand against over-scheduling; cut out an activity or two opting for the most important activity. 2. Solve little problems; it gives a sense of control. develop on skills to calmly look at a problem, figure out options and take actions towards a solution. 3. have plenty of rest and also eat well- Lack of enough sleep causes bad skin, it makes one clumsy and hard to concentrate. have a schedule, sleep and wake up same time everyday. 4. Have exercise- these reduces muscle tension, helps you sleep better and improves the quality of sleep but remember to choose activities you will enjoy. 5. Slow down; Find something to make you laugh, be a kid for a couple of minutes, listen to music, have bath and play at a playground. 6. Do not live beyond your means. 7. Do not compare your life with that of other, rather count on your blessings and be thankful for what you get from God. 8. Learn to forgive to avoid bitterness. 9. Accept the things you cannot change like death of a loved one or a serious illness. 10. Discuss your challenges; dont feel alone with challenges; talk with your siblings, parents, friends or counselor. 11. Watch what you are thinking; your outlook, attitude and thoughts influence the way you see things. 12. Get enough iron and calcium. 13. Drink 8 glasses of water each day. 14. Do not eat much junk food. 15. Eat a balanced food. 16. Eat breakfast. God bless you so much, as you work on the above, be prayerful and do not worry what is your way, the lord is already there.
