Nearshore Forecast: Friday S swell 2 - 3ft south facing beaches, grading to 1 - 2ft+ elsewhere depending on exposure. Fading rapidly during the day. WIND: W 5 to 15 knots tending NNE 10 to 15 knots during the afternoon. Saturday Leftover S swell around 1-2ft south facing beaches. WIND: WSW 10 to 15 knots tending N during the afternoon. Sunday SE swell 1-2ft most exposed beaches, grading to 1ft or so elsewhere. WIND: W 5 to 10 knots tending light N to NE during the afternoon. Monday SE swell up to 1 - 2ft max most exposed beaches, grading to 1ft or less elsewhere. WIND: W 10 to 15 knots tending light N later. Marine Forecast: Macquarie Coast: Smoky Cape to Seal Rocks Forecast for Friday 16 August Winds: South to southwesterly 10 to 15 knots becoming variable about 10 knots early in the morning then becoming north to northeasterly 15 to 25 knots in the early afternoon. Seas: Up to 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the afternoon, then increasing to 1.5 to 2.5 metres by early evening. Swell: Southerly 2 to 3 metres, decreasing to 1.5 to 2 metres during the morning, then decreasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the afternoon. Forecast for Saturday 17 August Winds: Northerly 20 to 30 knots turning northwesterly 15 to 20 knots during the evening. Seas: 2 to 3 metres. Swell: South to southeasterly 1 to 1.5 metres.
