MARTIN LUTHER KING JRs BIRTHDAY (Observed): Dr. King would have - TopicsExpress

MARTIN LUTHER KING JRs BIRTHDAY (Observed): Dr. King would have been 86 last Thursday. In 1964 he wrote On the Importance of Jazz for the program guide for the first Berlin Jazz Days (Berliner Jazztage), where Miles Davis & his Second Great Quintet recorded their live album, Miles in Berlin. King wrote, Jazz speaks for life. The Blues tell the story of lifes difficulties, and if you think for moment, you will realize that they take the hardest realities of life and put them into music, only to come out with some new hope or sense of triumph. This is triumphant music. AMEN to that! #MLKJr
