MESSAGE...Part 4: A Bond of Love Between A Woman and Her Daughters-in-Law!... When Ruth returned to the city, with the reserved Barley, she had for her mother-in-law, Naomi questioned Ruth about what had happened, during the time she was gone. Ruth told Naomi about her gleaning in a field, which belonged to Boaz and Naomi was very happy about it; she told Ruth that Boaz was a kinsman of her husband, Elimelech. Then Ruth told Naomi, that Boaz said for her to keep by his young men until the end of the harvest for the Barley and the Wheat. Naomi began to think about the Law, which says, the next of kin has the right to marry a woman whose husband was dead and there were no children. So, Naomi told Ruth about the Law and that she should think about marrying one of the next of kin. Ruth told Naomi she would do all that she wanted her to do. Naomi told Ruth to wash and anoint herself, put on some clothes and go to the threshing floor, where the men would be, but she was not to be seen, and to watch where Boaz would lay down. Then she was to go to him and uncover his feet and lay at his feet. Ruth did all that Naomi told her to do and she was to wait until Boaz told her what else she was to do. About midnight, Boaz felt afraid and turned himself, seeing someone was at his feet, Boaz said, "Who art thou?", She replied, "I am Ruth, thy handmaiden, spread thy skirt over thy handmaiden, for thou art a near kinsman. Boaz said, "Blessed be thou of the Lord, my daughter, for thou hast shown more kindness in the latter end than in the beginning, in as much as thou followed not young men, whether poor or rich. I will do all that thou require, for my people know that thou art a virtuous woman". Boaz told Ruth, there was another kinsman, who was nearer, than he was and that kinsman had the right to choose her to be his wife, so, Boaz said he would contact the other kinsman and find out if he desired to marry Ruth. The next morning, Boaz gave Ruth six measures of Barley and she went back to the city. Again, Naomi questioned Ruth about the events, saying, "Who art thou my daughter?", and Ruth told her all that had happened, and they waited to hear from Boaz. Moral of Part 4: Obedience to the Law of the Land and the Law of God Jehovah can bring about your prosperity in life; Good advice can come from a member of your family; Be content with what is given to you; Be grateful to everyone and the Lord God Jehovah who bring about the opportunities and means for the things you need and things you desire. Amen! Think on these things! Examine yourselves to see if changes are needed in your Christian Life. Have a blessed day, to some and a peaceful, restful sleep to others.
