MI PRIMER Y PROXIMO LIBRO A CURIOUS BOY: The story is about Santiago. A boy that was born and raised in a very poor town in Chiapas, Mexico. Santiago spent most of his life isolated in his ranch from people and the outside world. You see, his father is a poor man. Santiagos father got to very successful in life but he lost it all thanks to his bad habits. Cahuama drinking. If you dont know what is Cahuama, that is 2 liters of beer. Santiagos father was an intelligent and charming man who had the power to move mountains. Literally. They had a grua business. They demolished mountains for living. Santiago thinks his smart because he read a guide book that he found near his town. The name of this guide book has something to do with 7 habits and Sean Covey. He also bought a fancy encyclopedia when they traveled to Merida for Christmas, a trip designed to see and to say good-bay to his grandfather that was about to die. Santiago is no ordinary man. He has a skill that distinguishes him from all other people. He is fearless. This skill had characterised him for his entire life. In his early days, He challenged his teachers when he was in elementary school. He also spent most of his time outside in the halls because the teachers hated him and asked him to leave. All schools that Santiago attended were rural and lacked teacher education. Santiago was not afraid of letting them know that. Santiago got suspended from school 4 times which game him the time to start businesses. The encyclopedia that he stole at Merida was really complete and had almost anything you need to know about the world. Santiago had no access to computers nor the internet. At the age of 19 he had not traveled anywhere but Merida. The encyclopedia was a really good tool for him. He got a rich vocabulary from that. He learnt a lot about businesses and statistics. He felt fascinated with the word entrepreneur. According to the encyclopaedia that meant A person that is not afraid of risks. Santiagoss first business was a coconut-water stand. Because his house was really far from peoples sight. He needed to wake up at 4am and walk for 2 hours to the nearest highway. He had a special spot were he saved his coconuts. He called it the Secret Hill. He spent alot of time there meditating and thinking. Santiago is a curious boy.
