MIGRANT ROMA HEAD ANTI-RACIST PROTEST You are invited to join the UN Anti-Racism Day rally on Saturday 22 March. It is expected to be the biggest pro-Roma, pro-Traveller demonstration London has ever seen, with 5,000 to 10,000 trade union, anti-racist and anti-fascist supporters participating. In the vanguard will be members of the Europe Roma Network, Roma London BG, Gypsy Council and Traveller Solidarity Network. During the parade up Whitehall, the march will stop at Downing Street to allow the Roma contingent to deliver a Letter requesting a meeting with David Cameron to discuss the National Strategy and the need to include all communities in its coverage. The Letter, linked to the National Federations upcoming report on the National Strategy, also emphasises the need to include Roma and Traveller representation in the monitoring and realization of the Strategy. The event starts at 11 am at the Nelson Mandela statue in Parliament Square. The march up Whitehall [12 noon] will be followed by a rally in Trafalgar Square with speakers, music and stalls, including a Roma information stall.
