MIS TECHNICAL ANALYST – Centurion – Only SA Citizens to apply Salary: Market Related Permanent Position Start Date: ASAP negotiable An exciting career opportunity currently exists within a stable international company for a MIS Technical Analyst. The successful candidate will report to the Head of New Business and Technology. The person who ideally would fit this role will have qualifications and experience in the technical aspects of information and computing technology (ICT) and exposure to the technical and operational functions of the mining and ore treatment processes. A person whose initial or primary qualifications are in geology, mining engineering, surveying or mineral processing and who has had additional training in ICT also may be a good fit for this role The Technical Analyst would have 3 principal functions: Pre sales support of MIS marketing activities Implementation of the MIS solutions at customers sites including assistance with acceptance testing and subsequent remediation Support after implementation and acceptance of the usage of the MIS solutions by the customers Direct liaison with customers and their representatives Requires Skills non-negotiable: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Significant experience programming in .net environments, especially C# Experience designing web user interfaces using html, css, js etc. Experience with source control systems e.g. SVN, TFS, etc. Experience in relational database design Experience with SQL Server 2008+ and Visual Studio 2008+ Experience with ASP.net MVC Exposure to and some knowledge of the mining industry Significant experience with development of reports using SQL Server Reporting services Desirable: Experience with mine control systems for example fleet management systems, high precision guidance systems Experience with ore processing systems, especially plant historians for example OSI PI, Invensys Wonderware, GE Proficy.
