MLB Network...what a channel for a baseball junkie! During the final Holiday busy-ness it was nice to tune into MLB Networks top 20 games of the last 50 years, hosted by Costas and Verducci, with key players from the game in studio and game footage. Really well done and helps make anyone feel like a little kid again! (so glad didnt catch any of 1997 WS Game 7...) must also admit i got a bit choked up hearing Jack Bucks amazing call of Gibbys walk-off homer to win Game 1 of the 1988 WS. heres Gibsons entire at-bat... https://youtube/watch?v=0smIeeH55HA its the Vin Scully version, which is pretty good...just something about Bucks call that gives me chills. Also, try to catch/DVR this MLBNs Greatest Game episode, Gibby breaking down this at-bat was amazing. The 1978 BOS-NYY tiebreaker (Bucky Bleeping Dent) was very good as well, Pinella and Dent in studio. Also watched some of the 2001 WS Game 7, with McCarver and Torre in studio. Torre as candid as Ive ever heard him. and big credit to Costas and Verducci as well, asked all the right questions and asked them like wide-eyed fans with a hint of little kid.
