MOMENT-4-MINISTRY: Person to Person Ministries was established in 1967 under the direction of Larry Bus Wiseman (Director 1967-1979) with the help of several Southwest Ohio residents who stepped up to the challenge to begin an evangelistic ministry that would reach out to families. Since her birth in 1967, Person to Person Ministries has been a non-denominational organization. She is affiliated with the historic Stone-Campbell Movement (also called the Restoration Movement) of the 19th Century American frontier. It was in 1972 that Person to Person Ministries began hosting their Family Camp Meeting at the Marvin Wilson farm outside of Hillsboro, Ohio. About 15 families camped out and about 500 people were in attendance at that first Family Camp Meeting. Soon 83 acres were purchased and named Restoration Acres. We now have 153 acres of campgrounds, where 400 to 500 camper units and 3,500 to 4,000 people converge each year for the annual Camp Meeting. Under the leadership of her second director, Dr. H. Dean Mills (1979-1999) Person to Person Ministries expanded her facilities and programs to assist the church and Gods people to have a closer walk with Him. Under his direction the ministry nearly doubled her property size, constructed many of the present facilities, and started several annual programs such as the Mens Clinic, the Couples Retreat and the Leadership Seminar. Now, under the leadership of Kerry Allen (1999-present) Person to Person Ministries is on the threshold of expanding her ministries to be an even greater asset to the kingdom of God. Presently, a year-around ministry building has been completed and a new exhibit hall/restroom facility have been built. The campgrounds have added RV camping sites, new childrens pavilions and additional water and electric hook-ups. The ministry has been blessed to see her programs continue to grow with the addition of a Preaching Camp and an international mission trip each year. Another exciting addition is the establishment of a Resource Center, containing over 4,400 books and 3,000 audio and video recordings. In 2006, a Media Ministry began with Person to Person personnel traveling to various brotherhood events to record sessions and make them available to everyone.
