MONDAY VACCINATION CLINIC DETAILS: DSHS Holds Vaccination Clinics in Nixon @ La Casita The Texas Department of State Health Services will hold back-to-school vaccination clinics in Nixon on Monday September 9, 2013 10:00a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. at the DSHS office at La Casita Parents are encouraged to have their child’s vaccinations done through their regular physician to ensure continuity of medical care. However, these clinics are available for children who meet state eligibility requirements of the Texas Vaccines for Children (TVFC) Program and are not covered by private insurance or CHIP. Those eligible for the TVFC program include: • Uninsured or underinsured children, • Children who are of Native American or Native Alaskan heritage, and • Children on Medicaid. A parent or guardian must accompany the child and bring a record of the child’s previous vaccinations.
