MOVIE REVIEW: TWO THUMBS - WAY UP! On a complete whim, I went to see Particle Fever last night. I had actually never heard of the film and from the brief one-line synopsis on the poster, I was worried that it might turn into a boring science-heavy docu-snooze-fest. I was SO wrong. I found myself immersed in an audience full of cheers, laughter, tears, and boos. It was a pretty fantastic ode to human collaboration, innovation, and most of all - humility. I left the theater pretty misty eyed, inspired, and proud (lucky) to be alive in this day and age. One of my favorite parts was watching brilliant physicist David Kaplan unraveling new data that could possibly disprove over 15 years of his lifes work, only to end by summarizing, And thats pretty f*cking cool! (I am always humbled when the search for truth overpowers the protection of ego.) The only real relevance to this page was my thinking that - boy, weve come a long way since the Tower of Babel, havent we? ;-) FIVE STARS!
