MPD Press release - Sentencing for Two Subjects Manchester, NH- On today’s date the sentencing of Garret Gauthier will take place at 1:30PM at Hillsborough County Superior Court House-North. Gauthier is being sentenced for his attempt to murder Manchester Police Detective Aaron Brown in April of 2013. Gauthier fired several rounds at the detective as a result of a motor vehicle stop, but was apprehended a short time later. At 9AM on Tuesday April 1, 2014, Chris Varigianis will face a magistrate in Hillsborough County Superior Court- North for an incident in June of 2013 where he purposely drove a vehicle at Detective Mike Lavallee while narrowly missing Detective Mike Bergeron and Sgt. Shaun McCabe. He will receive his sentencing for the incident and he is expected to receive seven to ten years for a capped plea agreement.
