MUDAVADI says UHURU/ RUTO are too CORRUPT and TRIBAL and regrets supporting them - reconsiders teaming up with RAILA ODINGA in 2017 Amani Coalition presidential candidate, Musalia Mudavadi, has lashed out at the Jubilee Government over what he termed as loss of focus on the promises it made to Kenyans in its manifesto. Speaking after a two-day Amani Coalition retreat at Elementaita, Mudavadi, through his UDF Secretary General, Abraham Limo, accused President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, of failing Kenya. He said the two leaders have embraced corruption in Government tenders and tribalism in their appointment, citing the controversial railway and laptop tenders, where Kenya stands to lose billions of shillings. Mudavadi regretted agreeing to work with Uhuru and Ruto, saying they have lost focus and deviated from the original agreement and as such he would reconsider teaming up with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to oust them from power in 2017. “It is becoming increasingly evident that Uhuru/ Ruto’s Jubilee is reluctant and indeed pampering corrupt practices as evidenced in the runaway laptop and railway projects. Amani will not tolerate, condone, be party to or allow itself to be an accomplice by default to corruption”, said Limo, speaking on behalf of Mudavadi. Amani also trashed the 20% pay cut undertaken by Uhuru and Ruto, saying the move will have zero impact on the rising cost of living, high taxation, rampant wastage of public resources and the ballooning public Wage Bill.
