MUMBO GUMBO TO APPEAR AT LOCAL FUNDRAISER The Mohawk Valley Stewardship Council will present an evening of Cajun food and great dance music at the Nakoma Resort and Spa, on Saturday August 30. This event is a fundraiser to purchase the materials necessary to rebuild the bath house at the historic White Sulphur Springs Ranch. Mumbo Gumbo has a dedicated following and blends many genres from rock to soul. The band recently played at the Kentucky Mine and is a regular in the summer music series at the Mine. In addition to great music, Nakoma will provide a Cajun buffet that includes blackened catfish, po’boy sandwiches, Andouille sausage and assorted Cajun delicacies. Dinner starts at 5:30 and music at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $35 for music or $50 for dinner and music. Advanced tickets can be purchased on the MVSC website, mohawkvalley.us or at the door. The Nakoma Resort and Spa is located at 348 Bear Run near Clio, CA, just off State Route A-15.
