MURDER AT CANYON CREEK RANCH!! BERRY CREEK, CA – The simple Country life at Canyon Creek Ranch exploded with big-city intrigue here yesterday, as crime dug its ugly spurs into the simple residents of the ranch. And we’re not talking, just any crime… we’re talking murder! The victim has been identified as Chong (formerly of the hit duo Cheech and Chong), and she was found dead in the chicken yard, with a broken neck. When hearing of the news, of her untimely death, her former lover and partner, Cheech, was too emotional to talk. Cheech and Chong were both Plymouth Rock chickens, and Cheech is still devastated. Rhonda, the young Americana chick, was a witness to the murder, which was the result of a domestic dispute gone-bad. Charlotte was also present when the dispute began, but she was able to escape through the fence-slats, when things turned violent. “Chong Was yelling! She told Kitty she wanted nothing more to do with her… ever. Kitty just flipped out, growling, and she grabbed Chong and started shaking her. It was awful!!” A tearful Rhonda was unable to continue, however, she picked Miss Kitty out of a lineup of suspects (see photo). Now that Miss Kitty has been positively identified, she will be held on an open murder charge. “Since it is her first offense,” coop-mate Flo told our reporter, “She will likely get off pretty easy. But the humans are all over this one, and they say it WILL NOT happen again. But we’ve heard that before…” Miss Kitty is incarcerated in Canyon Creek’s criminal holding cell (or the backyard). Visiting hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
