MY COMMENTARY, 3/16/14 TOPIC: THE MACEDONIA CALL ALL SCRIPTURES ARE FROM THE KING JAMES VERSION 2003 EDITION Acts 16: 9-10, And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, beseeching him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us. And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavored to go into Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel unto them. Luke 9: 59-62, And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father. Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but you go and preach the kingdom of God. And another also said, Lord, I will follow you; but let me first go bid them farewell, who are at home at my house. And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. MY COMMENTARY: After the circumcision of the disciple Timothy, whose mother was a Jewish believer in Jesus, and father was Greek, Apostle Paul had a vision that night of God calling him to Macedonia to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, (Yeshua). The word of God states that Paul “IMMEDIATELY” rose up, and answered the call. Apostle Paul did not find excuses to delay his journey; he quickly obeyed the assignment that he was given from the Lord. Are you a willing laborer for Jesus, or are you a procrastinator? When the Lord gives us directives, we must answer immediately with obedience. However, many times Gods people find excuses for disobedience, “Lord, I will FOLLOW YOU; BUT let me first go bid them farewell, who are at home at my house. And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plow, and LOOKING BACK, is FIT for the kingdom of God.”
