MY EARLIER POST WHICH I THEN POSTED TO COLES AND WOOLIES AND GOT A REPLY QUICKLY, BETTER THAN @ANZ a few months back when I tackled them about evicting farmers, sometimes giving only one days notice...the replies are below my post Well we love shopping local, just ducked into Richmond Butchery, opposite Kronaosaurus Corner/Info Centre/Bakery and bought local meat, wow did it look good, two tbones, 4 lamb loin chops and an eye fillet steak. $24.50...Great servie and we are helping locals and the farmers. Sure the shop rent would be different to the city but business overheads are the same thereabouts.e on travellers, buy local, @Woolies and Coles where do your prices come from... We can’t go into detail about individual meat prices, but pricing is determined by a number of different factors such as cost of raw materials, operational costs, manufacturing processes, transportation and taxes or duties. We continue to work hard to bring prices down for our customers through Down Down and our weekly promotions. Woolworths Australias Fresh Food People commented on Farmstay Camping Australias post. Since the beginning, weve been committed to selling great Australian produce and we always give preference to local suppliers. 96% of our fresh fruit & veg is Australian grown, 100% of our fresh meat is Australian, and 71% of the own brand products that we sell are locally sourced. Thanks
