MY SHOES I put on my sneakers So I can run the miles, Searching for those Whose souls are defiled. I put on my heels So I can step in class, Bringing the Word of God To the people by the mass. I stomp the devil As I put on my boots, Ending his plans; Making him mute. I put on my galoshes As I prepare for the rain, Many blessing will fall on me As I praise Jesus’ name. I put on my flip flops As I walk through the sand, From one beach to the next In search for those who need a hand. I put on my flats So I can reach the kids, Teaching them the Word And for them, what Jesus did. I put on my combat boots Preparing for the fight, Holding the Word for strength; Leaning on faith for what is right. I put on my shoes with a purpose Wherever I go, I’m about my Father’s business If you didn’t know. (Tabu)
