Mackies Pizza has been a staple in Harrisburg since 1972. As a tourist, I often ask locals of what their favorite restaurant is and Mackies would be the name I would hear in Harrisburg. Mackie and his wife moved here and opened a Monicals in 72. It was successful as a sit down pizza place and it had the first wall mounted electronic game in town. A few years later, Mackies Pizza was born and the rest is history. It moved from Parker Plaza to its current location at 502 E. Poplar. A second location was opened in Marion a few years ago.
