Made it save and sound to Sri Mayapur. The ride from Kolkata to the Dham was beyond crazy. No road rules at all people driving everywhere, on every side, in every direction, on the curb if you can call it that, mattajs in groups an saris running across these highways, old men dodging busses and rickshaws... its an art! Mayapur is glorious took darshan of the deities last night then had a great prasadam dinner with Keshava Dasa and his amazing wife at Govindas restaurant .. its ridiculously cheap to eat here, 50rps for one main dish.. thas like 92 cents, you can have a whole HUGE meal for less the 300rps or 3$ an abit.. just wow!!! You havent seen beauty until youve stood before their Lordships Gaura Nitai whos stand at 9ft tall... just wow!! this morning I woke up at 9ish semi recovered from my jet lag an walked around our temple compound then down to Matta Ganga about 20mins away through down a bustling road lined with market stalls, real time travel for surer, selling everything you can imagine from deity excesories, food, japa Mala, clothing and bangels. I also stopped in an worshiped several beautifully neglected deities from our Jagad Gurus, Srila Prabhupadas, good brothers, these devotees were sweet offering me some yummy prasadam, which against advice I honoured, cause of the use of unpurified water , but its Krishnas mercy and his devotee will never be destroyed More to come. HARE KRISHNA... oh and our new temple is again... WOW!
