Magical Realism & Erotica with Leone Ross Sat. 8 November 2014, 11am – 4pm Leeds This Inscribe Masterclass with acclaimed Jamaican/British writer Leone Ross will teach you to write in TWO of the most popular genres: magical realism and erotica. Through a combination of mini-lecture, group work and plenty of writing exercises, you will consider the kind of writing made famous by such as Anais Nin, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Georges Bataille and Ben Okri. This practical workshop is suitable for those already writing short stories and novels, who either want guidance on how to develop their craft, or who want to refresh their skills. Leone Ross is the author of critically-acclaimed novels All The Blood Is Red (Anchor) long-listed for the Orange Prize for Fiction, and Orange Laughter (Picador). Her speculative fiction and erotica has been widely anthologised. Her third novel, This One Sky Day and short story collection, Mulatto Centauride are due out in 2015-2016.
