Main Tera Hero: A David Dhawan Attempt David Dhawan after a series of not so successful movies; now tries his hand and makes a movie with his son Varun from the SOTY fame. Srinath Prasad aks Seenu (Varun Dhawan) lives with his parents in Ooty and is a trouble maker. One fine day he decides to move out to Bangalore to get his graduation degree. The entire town of Ooty who have been Seenu’s victim come to see him off at the station. In the train he happens to have some fight with road side romeos who begin troubling fellow female passengers. Cut.. Seenu comes to Bangalore and gets an admission into a college and falls in love with Sunaina (D’Cruz). Sunaina is the coerced girlfriend of Angad (Arunoday Singh) a police officer. Seenu gets a shock when he realizes Ayesha (Nargis Fakhri) daughter of Don Vikrant (Anupam Kher) is madly in love with him and wants to marry him. Vikrant has abducted Sunaina and threatens to kill her if Seenu does not accept Ayesha’s proposal. How will Seenu manage this situation and the hurdles he faces is what this movie is all about. Vinu Gyaan: The movie is a typical David Dhawan movie with silly jokes but at times goes the Sajid Khan way of crass lines. David has tried to bring the effect of his two favourite heroes Govinda and Salman thru his son. But Varun tries and gives the audience a feel of Shahid Kapoor. Music by Sajid - Wajid is below average. Arunoday Singh is impressive. The second half of the movie is better than the first part. On the whole, this movie is a time pass watch but not something that would be a must watch. I shall give this movie 2.5 stars.
