Major Brands Flock To iTunes Radio Launch New service iTunes Radio launches today with major brands such as Pepsi, Macy’s, McDonald’s, Nissan and Procter & Gamble on board as charter sponsors, each shelling out upwards of $10 million, according to an Ad Age report. Why This Matters: The sponsors are betting on iTunes Radio to jump to the top very quickly. “We looked at the devices Apple has and the number of subscribers that they have overall on iTunes,” says Frank Cooper, PepsiCo’s CMO for global consumer engagement. “Just in terms of infrastructure, we think they have the chance to be the biggest.” A Take: Ad Age
