Make him your God. Monday, December 08, 2014 Good morning, Read: Jeremiah 10:10-15 THE ONLY TRUE GOD “But the LORD is the true God, He is the living God, and an everlasting King:…” (Jer. 10:10). All over the world, people believe there is a God who is head over all things. They wonder about who this God is and would like to know how the world came into being. There is no secret about it. God’s word tells us that “In the beginning, God created the Heaven and the Earth” (Gen. 1:1). Think of the earth, moon and stars; night and day; summer and winter; and the millions of stars put in their places. They do not run into each other. They go year after year in the way they were planned. The one who planned all these has great wisdom. “The Heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth His handy work” (Ps. 19:1). God did not use anything to make the world. “For He commanded and they were created” (Ps. 148:5). The only true God, brought man into being. He is all powerful (Ex. 6:3); everywhere (Jer. 23:24); and sees all things that happen in every place (Prov. 15:3). No matter how well made and beautiful idols are; they can never have the power and life of the only true and living God. If we have reverential fear for God we must show to Him our deep respect, and honour. We dare not ignore and treat Him casually as the heathens, occultist and juju worshipers do. We must demonstrate this attitude by humility and genuine worship doing what He says. Prayer: Dear God, I believe absolutely that You are the God who created all things. Let me not ignore and treat You casually but give me Your grace to continually have a reverential fear for You in the name of Jesus. Urch
