Makes no sense to me whatsoever. I got up, determined to do an easy 5 this morning, but my mind was a billion miles away. Turned into a "Whoa, whoa, whoa, we need to have a talk", when my mind shut me down before I was even a mile out. LOOK AT HOW FAR YOU HAVE COME! YOU HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED FOUR HALF MARATHONS! YOU ARE STRONGER THAN YOU HAVE EVER BEEN AND YOU ARE SO CLOSE TO ONE MORE DREAM BECOMING A REALITY!! At that point I took a moment to absorb my surroundings: Breaking dawn with deep rainbow colors hugging the earth good moring, midnight blue sky steaked with gold still illuminated by the stars, first chirps, critters rustling the brush near my feet. I turned to the rising sun, raised both arms high--and breathed a cleansing breath. As I let it go, so went the doubt, the fear. For whatever reason...right now I am struggling. Knowing it is half the battle. I will carry on...I will persevere...I will conquer.
