#Malawi Revenue Authority officials recover about MK500 million stolen from a Standard bank branch in Mzuzu last night. The money was recovered at Jenda road block in Mzimba after the MRA officials noted that two vehicles were diverting to unchartered routes, a statement from MRA indicates. No one has been arrested in relation to the incident. Police say the suspects abandoned their cars at Jenda along with the bags of money before escaping. The law enforcers searched the cars and found the bags filled with cash. The money has since been returned to the bank. Details of how the money was stolen in the first place remain sketchy.
