Male Hyllus diardi found in the wild. These gentle giants are arguably the largest species of jumping spiders in the world, comparable in size only to the Hyllus giganteus. I was also fortunate enough to find a female specimen 30 minutes after this video was shot (at a different location). Like most arthropods, this species is difficult to spot at first but once you know where and more importantly, WHEN to look, sightings become more frequent. It took me more than 2 weeks to finally find my first Hyllus diardi. *Click on HD Button for better video quality! PS: I am unable to disclose the exact localities of this species for obvious reasons and I hope you understand.
