Male Hyllus diardi found in the wild. These gentle giants are arguably the largest species of jumping spiders in the world, comparable in size only to the Hyllus giganteus. I was also fortunate enough to find a female specimen 30 minutes after this video was shot (at a different location). Like most arthropods, this species is difficult to spot at first but once you know where and more importantly, WHEN to look, sightings become more frequent.
