Malik pitches for unity among Muslims =>Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik pitched for the unity of Muslim community and said it was one of the aims of his pro freedom group. Muslims are like human body and can only achieve the success of this world and hereafter by unity and brotherhood. We are here today to promote unity and brotherhood and to express solidarity with our Shia brethren, Malik said, while addressing a Hussaini Majlis at Katthi Darwaza Srinagar today. Malik along with other JKLF leaders reached Kathi Darwaza addressed hundreds of people. He addressed the gathering and said: we have faith in Allah, one prophet (SAW), one Quran and one Kaa’ba and therefore we all should refrain from fighting each others on small and petty differences. Malik said every Muslims whatever be his sect or creed, respects and loves the family and companions of beloved prophet Mohammad (SAW). We all feel pain and agony of what was done to Imam Hussain (RA) and his family in Karbala, he said. Quoting Hazrat Ali (RA), Malik said relationship is not because of same blood but because of same feelings. If we can feel the agony of even those whom we do not know, we can make them our friends, but if we lack this human instinct, our own can become our opponents, he said.
