Man charged with 12 offences following damage to ticket vending machines – Strike Force Collector Police have charged a man after a number of ticket vending machines in the state’s north were damaged. Between July 2012 and April 2013, a 41-year-old man allegedly caused damage to ticket vending machines at railway stations on six separate occasions, during which he also allegedly stole cash. Police were alerted and formed Strike Force Collector in April 2013 to investigate the incidents. Police examined CCTV footage and executed search warrants before arresting a 41-year-old man today (Thursday 23 January 2014). He was charged with 12 offences relating to theft and malicious damage. The man was bail refused to appear at Gosford Local Court tomorrow (Friday 24 January 2014).
