Man remanded for impersonating University Secretary A city court has remanded a man to Luzira prison for allegedly masquerading as a University Secretary when he issued a false document to a Chinese investor while at Law Chambers. The LDC Court Monday sent Vincent Kalibala 38, a businessman residing in Masanafu, Bukulungi-Lubya in Lubaga division Kampala to Luzira prison for allegedly impersonating as the University Secretary of St. Lawrence University. Prosecution alleges that on September 29, this year, Kalibala with a St. Lawrence University identity staff card in the names of Prof. John Chrisostom Senyondo Musaazi at Kavuma, Kabenge & Co. Advocates located on Martin Road with intent to defraud Daniel Hung Chun, uttered a false document after he represented himself as Prof Chrisostom Senyondo Musaazi, who works with St. Lawrence University. Kalibala in the same month forged a land tittle of Block 192, on Plot 687 at Kiwombya, Mukono district which was purportedly issued by the Registrar of Lands in Mukono district. Kalibala is facing three counts of forgery which is contrary to Section 342 and 347 of the Penal Code, impersonation which is contrary to Section 181 of the Penal Code and uttering false document contrary to Section 351 and 347 of the Penal Code Act. However, while appearing in court, Kalibala denied the three charges and told court that he is innocent. I dont have any knowledge on the said charges, I am a businessman who doesnt have time to engage in criminal acts, Kalibala told court.
