Man this brought back memories, never ever crank up one of these Detroits without an air box that has an emergency shut down flapper. I worked on many of these in the Hein Warner Track Backhoes and the rack has a nasty habit of hanging, all it takes is one injector to hang and the entire rack will stay open !! The engine will self destruct usually before you regain your senses and can act quick enough to get it shut down, you cant just turn off the key because this thing runs off fuel and air, and as long as it has air it will runaway. I always kept a cut piece of plywood in my Truck to fit over the air box just as a safety precaution, just one runaway and you wont let it happen again, this guy probably had to go in and change his drawers. https://youtube/watch?v=3NRaqgab0_w
