Man, this guy really is the king of my collection. 17 retics and a juvy green tree python.. but the salvator takes the cake. When I first got him and he hated me there was a period that I really questioned what I had got myself into, especially after he took off on me and lolived in the back of my refrigerator for 3 days. I gave him time and didnt force handle (too often.. couldnt resist occasionally).. but I barely even saw him for about 4 or 5 months. Every time I walked in the room he would run and hide. One day Im at my computer by his cage and BOOM.. Hes Chillin outside of his hide and checking me out. After that I tried taking him out but he was still very skittish. Right around this time he started taking meal worms and roaches from my hand sometimes. He has come SO FAR. Yesterday I was doing a little water change and maintenance to his cage with no intention of messing with him, and for the first time he came walking right up to me and walked right to me shoulder. I love this guy (I think its a guy) he is not captive bred he was was an import so Im am soooo excited with how well hes doing. Does this look about the right size for a yearling?
