Manmohan Desai was a fantastic storyteller...and in Kader Khan he had a dialogue writer who could pen the language of the street to perfection...no other filmmaker even came close to understanding the pulse of a national audience like him...his films had it all... From his films began the cliched description of picture alag hai --- Isme action bhi hai, emotion bhi hai, comedy hai, gaane acche hai...and the almost fine tuned formula of the lost and found, ek maa or a mother figure was added too for good measure. His style of the narrative was so fast paced that it didnt allow the viewer time to digest the huge latitude he took towards cinematic realism...everything was possible...Saibaba could work a miracle and grant eyes to the blind...one blood bottle could dispense blood commonly to an ailing mom from her three lost sons...it was mind boggling ...he made it believable...and total entertainment was a guarantee... Look closer into his cinema and u find the true heart of the filmmaker beating cleanly...a value system that was simple and conveyed well...he made movies from the heart and the people took them into theirs...
