Mans Natural Gift In the parable of the talents, revelation has it that talents as termed in Mat. 25:14-30, does not necessarily mean money, but the natural gift a person has which he/she develops into profitable skills, from which he/she realizes income to meet his/her needs, pay Gods and Cesars. Where such natural gifts as music, sports or any professional field as deposited in the person when born is not realized, then such person has also become the unprofitable servant who will at the unexpected arrival of the master be cast into hell, along with those leaders and persons who have the opportunity to help them realize it but didnt for selfish reasons. This is why the issue of education is most paramount in our journey to the promised nation of righteousness and economic abundance. There is no amount of companies a nation can deliver that would employ a population of over 50% of 150 million people as youths. Talents and its discovery and rediscovery are those natural gifts deposited in people right from birth, with which they can profitably fend for themselves and pay taxes/bills which cumulatively funds and maintains a government besides landed resources. Whatever the government may be spending on education and talent development, is a huge investment greater than any landed resources, because it can be passed on from one person to another skilfully. The manufacturers of musical instruments, electronics and other related products/devices needs talented musicians to enable them sell their products, from which they also raise profits to pay their staffs and meet charitable and corporate social responsibilities as profitable servants. That is why the major role a government has is to ensure that standard institutional base plus teaching skills are in place to make her populace a skilful conglomerate worthy to be called profitable servants by God and Cesar. The democratic role of the church in this regard is to deliver the gospel message to edify and support the peoples talents and how such can be used to support the less privileged people, as well as directing them not to derail from Gods glory, so that on the last day, they also will be part of Eternal Life (EL). This is simply what life on earth is all about - give and be given, forgive and be forgiven, support and be supported. The landed resources have their own use; but we have been overdependent on them, neglecting those unequal resources of the brain cells, which has made it possible for me to be communicating with you now. It is only in a greedy politics driven economy that leaders would frown at 26% of a nations budget going into human capital development. The normal thing in a nation is to have free, compulsory, standard and well supervised education/training institutes from primary to secondary school. Polytechnics and universities can be made expensive to add value system to the skills acquired, while the all important technical schools and vocational training institutes can be made affordable for those who cannot afford the polytechnic and university education, some of whom are known to be more prosperous in the later days. Primary and secondary = free, compulsory and standard education FOR ALL (foundation) Technical/vocational = affordable institutes for secondary graduates to get useful skills for industries and SMEs Universities and polytechnics = Highly standardized and made expensive for value system, administrative intelligence, innovations and inventions for national development and sophistication. When you have cheap graduates in a country; you also have cheap result. But if they are expensive and well trained with all standards, they will give equal amount to the nations value system. Building Gods kingdom simply means human capital development on both sides of the double edge sword (Skill and Love). We are suffering in Nigeria today, because our political leaders in all tiers didnt have the strong administrative Skill and Love needed to harness the angle to bring forth Healthy Beautiful babies in circles. They are more concerned about the maize rather than its qualities and growth process. They are satisfied with the much we realize from crude oil and doesnt care about the welfare of the people because they didnt know how the statutory allocation avails. Even though some leaders plunder all the funds, the people wouldnt know about it since the government income is not tax-oriented and non-oil sourced. A look at our unplanned cities for instance, is a reflection that our government ministries at states and federal levels are not driven by skills but greedy politics and tussle for land ownership even though the Psalmist declared seventy to eighty years as life expectancy. What else are we living for if crises and bad records becomes our symbols. The beauty of our streets add value to the economy. This is why some prominent Nigerian artists take their programs to London, Dubai and other beautiful cities in search of the seven colours of the spectrum, which they havent seen in a supposed Blissful Angle. So, what the government of Rivers State is doing here would help our people/youths a lot irrespective of background or political affiliation. The electorates have no political parties; what they are concerned about is economic prosperity that would enable them pay their bills and be comfortable enough to concentrate on their businesses till the last day. And the main-road to that prosperity is to develop skills and talents coupled with love for one another to help the buyer relate well with the seller in peace. I dont know any politician, and I dont want to know. What am only concerned about here is how we can raise more skillful lads to develop the country both now and in the future to come. Nation and Country are not thesame. Nation = people (Nigerians) Country = land area (Nigeria) If you must develop the country (land area), the nation must first be recreated to have the sofwares needed. We pray God to open the eyes of our leaders in all spheres to see beyond their offices, positions and environment so that the reasons why they are leaders will be their thought functions.
