Many ask a question that is being asked more frequently these days than ever before. ‘Who am I?’ As we gain more knowledge, we feel that we know ourselves less and less. The more we understand the less we seem to understand. Why? How? These are questions that come to our mind regularly. To really understand these questions and the workings that take place as we progress in martial arts silence is necessary to understand. After a point no teacher can teach or answer. It is the point when the spirit is awake and it guide us to understand the unknown the truth and the reality. Truth is often stranger than fiction. As our ability increases to understand the reality and the unknown we must also remember to strengthen ourselves internally to be able to face the truth and the reality that is exposed to us by our spirit. There are different planes in which the truth of the Universe is synchronized and it is visible to us as we progress in the arts. Aspects of life are lighted up which we had never known and we may not like to know. It is improtant that we face the reality and the fears that come to our mind. It is important we face ourseleves. If we develop the ability to face ourselves we deal with our worst fears and slowly accept that which is today a part of the norms of life in general. The mind and the body are ours but we do not have a life alone it is a part of life not only on earth but it is entwined with the ultimate source of life and intelligence. We are only a small part of that current. It is the current that keeps life evolving through the Universes and galaxies. The vastness of the unknown facts of life are so large that it is hard to imagine and even harder to put into words. The inability to express does not mean that the unknown facts do not exist. They exist and it is only a matter of time before each martial artist at some point in the life will see and feel the revelation and the manifestation. Illustrations of creative imagination are also based on facts and reality. If we have a Donald Duck it is because ducks exist and if Donald Duck speaks it is because the creative imagination of the creator bsed it upon the reality that all life has a voice in some language or the other. As individuals we know who we are, but who are we really seems to be better if it remains a question. The answer may not be one that we had wished for or hoped for. This who know the answer are considered to be enlightened and the enlightened persons also say that enlightenment is facing the truth and the reality as it exists and not as we have so far perceived it. In the silence of the Universe lies our answer.
