Many of you already know about this, but Im feeling emotionally prepared now to make a public announcement that I am expecting my fourth child!! Because I am an older mother, and my hormone levels are low, this is considered a high risk pregnancy. However, at eight weeks this ultrasound video shows a nice heartbeat and a good sized little peanut. Because of recent advances in technology, I will know the babys gender in two weeks! As a single mother with three children, I am well aware of the challenges that lie ahead of me. The absence of a fathers involvement in a babys life is obviously not ideal, but in this particular case I believe it is in the best interests of my family if I do this alone. Although this situation is the result of a poor judgement call on my part, seeing this heartbeat means everything. Ive had some negative responses but Im also receiving a LOT of encouragement and support. I am thrilled to have this unexpected opportunity to be a mother to yet another beautiful human being that will complete my family.
