Many of you met John MacRaehall, who with his wife Babs did much of the upkeep at Ramsey Creek. He died suddenly and unexpectedly at Toad Hall, the Stewards Residence, Saturday afternoon. We are all a bit shattered. He had an extraordinary life; he was a retired RAF pilot with over 18,000 hours of flight experience, and for over 20 years flew many dangerous covert operations including transporting people in and out of East Germany. He was a trained engineer; he worked on and drove formula race cars. He also set the land speed record for motorized bar stools in 1978. We miss him terribly. Part of his ashes will be at Ramsey Creek and part will go to south Wales at a favorite spot on the coast.
