Many people think that any dog can be a SD...well its not true! To be a service dog the dog has to one be very stable (not easily frightened and when frightened have a quick recovery time), it must want to be with people more than other dogs, and it must have an incredible work drive. So mostly this video is just funny watching a lab try to figure out a way to get more than 1 ball in her mouth or back to be thrown again while swimming...but it also shows Shelbys drive to complete a task as well as her problem solving capabilities. She tries getting them both in her mouth, pushing one back with her nose, grabbing it with her paws, etc. this drive and persistency makes me crazy sometimes, but it also makes her awesome at her job!
