Many thanks to my friend Maria for letting me poach this off her wall. After receiving a rather untimely private message from a concerned citizen of FB, I thought this was appropriate. In case Ive failed to mention, although I feel my page exemplifies true southern hospitality, Id like to remind people who post here of a few things: (1) I will not tolerate disrespect or abuse of any kind to those who come here seeking information, support or encouragement on my page. I encourage interaction that is respectful, intelligent, and considerate. If you are so inclined to leave disparaging comments, you are not welcome here. (2) If you choose to disregard my request you will be banned. No questions asked. (3) If you wish to advertise on my page, be sure to ask first. If you come to my door and thirst, I will offer you a drink and invite you in, but do not walk into my house and help yourself to my fridge without my permission. (4) Do not write me and tell me that you can cure my child of Cystic Fibrosis with your cleanse, your juice, or your special oils. I am a college-educated woman and have been a nurse for 22 years. To suggest that I have done anything less than turn over every stone looking for ways to help my daughter is an insult to my intelligence and the fierce love I have for my children. I would lay down my life for them; dont sit behind your computer screen and accuse me of anything less. While SO MANY of you have offered prayers, encouragement, thoughtful suggestions, or reached out to share similar experiences, there are still some people who assume I must not be doing ENOUGH. That is not to say that I am not open to suggestions regarding alternative treatments, but there are 70,000 people in the CF community. If youve got a cure, please dont just share it with me! (5) Stalkers will not be tolerated. If youre still unsure about #4 and #5 please see #2.
