Many years ago my Grandma Bertha used to sing this song, You cant hurry God. No you have to wait. You have to trust Him and give Him time, no matter how long it takes. Hes a God that you cant hurry. He will be there, dont you worry. He may not come when you want Him, but hes right on time. I LOVE that song, even today. Waiting is one of the most frustrating things we know. We wait for the mail to come, the computer to process, the phone to ring, the dinner to cook, the traffic to move, the check to come, the rain to stop, the light to change, the Falcons to win (sorry, I couldnt resist), and on and on. It would be interesting to figure out how much of our lives we spend waiting. This impatience spills over into our relationship with God. Waiting for God to make good on His promises is one of lifes tremendous challenges. Instead of trusting God to give us what we need when we need it, we would like God to give us what we want when we want it! We pray for loved ones and friends to believe Christ as their Savior, but if nothing seems to happen in our timing, we give up on God and lament, What the use, theres nothing I can do! Even though we are impatient with God, He is so very patient with us. He forgives us our sins and assures us of life with Him forever. By His grace in Christ Jesus, He invites us to come to Him no matter where we are or what time it is. His love enables us to be still, and know that [HE is] God (Psalm 46:10). We never wait for God in vain. Gods promises can be trusted! As we wait, sometimes the results for our waiting are made clear. Other times, we learn that if the answer had come earlier, we could not have handled it. We cant hurry God, but we can trust Him. Ask him today to give you the faith to wait on Him! Be blessed and bless somebody else today. #FaithoverFear
