Mar 27, 2014, Psa. 23:2, the Provisional cont C. Flies. Yea flies. These little creatures literally torment sheep. Our flies? Those little irritants in life that bug us! Those annoying circumstances that disturb us to the point of making us restless. Song of Sol. 2:13 I must confess that there are certain occurrences in my house that defy any rational explanation. For instance, one of the great and perpetual mysteries is where my socks disappear. I cant seem to keep a matching pair. I am continually having to buy new socks. After the first wash, some of them simply vanish. They never go in pairs, which wouldnt be so bad. The annoying thing is that I am left with one green sock, one blue, and one black. I have accumulated a huge pile which I dare not throw out lest a matching sock reappear as mysteriously as it disappeared. So far this had never happened. They cannot walk off - at least not with a foot being placed in them. Or can they? I have stuck my head in there and so far have not been able to discovered any teeth; no escape hatch; no way out that would explain this mystery. What is really frightening that I have found that this mysterious thief and reached out to other people! Yes, I have heard that people all over the United States have experience this same problem. This is but a small fly but it is a cause of minor frustration - if we put our heads together we could probably come us with a whole lists of these flies. D. Friction. When sheep are filled with rivalries, jealousies, and competition they butt heads. Generally an domineering old ewe will be boss of any bunch of sheep. She maintains her position of prestige by butting and driving other ewe or lambs away from the best grazing grounds. Such self-assertion among the flock makes it so the sheep cannot lie down and rest. Always they must stand up and defend their rights and contest the challenge of the intruder. See Galatians 5:13-15, 26 Trans: Gods people shouldnt always be butting heads. Constant friction in the fellowship removes rest. I read one time about a zoo keeper who tossed a hot dog into a snake pen. The two snakes immediately began to devour the stick of meat, one on each end. When they met in the middle, the larger snake opened his mouth and began consuming the other snake. Johnny A Palmer Jr.
