March 20, 2014. Be careful with your spoken words. Whenever possible, let your speech be gentle with those who are gentle. Be kind with those who are kind. Adjust your harsh words in favor of kindness and understanding of your audience. Even with those who speak harshly, when possible, demonstrate compassion in communication with them. Do not return unkind words spoken to you. Defuse their wrath with gentleness. Stop spreading fire by washing yourself and others with the word of God. Choose words that build up, stir up and cheer up. Proverbs 15:1 (NASB) A gentle answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.
