Mashkiikii Gitigan Update (July 2nd): Were having a busy holiday week so far: We had a gracious donation of a library catalog cabinet for the Community Seed Library! Weve gathered all the materials to create the library and have worked out most of the kinks of the organization so next week we should be able to sort through our left over seeds and seed donations to create a start up seed library. Thank you to Allen, from Brooklyn Park for the donation! This was also our first week of youth 4H classes in the garden. We have some wonderful Americorp interns from Waite House who are heading up the program for community youth. Contact us at 24thstfarm@gmail if you know any youth who would like to participate. Produce is coming in fast and Christina the Farmer hopes to set up our first Karma Market (a farmers market where you pay what you can for the produce) in the garden tomorrow. Stop by tomorrow afternoon to see whats available! Were learning about Garden Records in tonights class as well as touring some of the other gardens in the neighborhood. Hope to see you there!
