Maximise BLISS, not Risks ! Risks are all around us. Daily activities like driving a car to work, walking up a staircase, crossing the road, opening a door (not knowing who is on the other side?) all have their elements of risk levels. So businesses, no matter how small, medium or large you are, have risks and you have to develop a list or procedures of standards that allow you to pre-ampt the risks and lower the impact of such risks. Did you know that standards are involved in almost every aspect of modern life. For e.g. 7am -> Alarm Clock = safety standard for household appliances 8am -> Toothbrush = dentistry standard for manual toothbrushes 1pm -> Lunch = food safety guidance to manufacturers 6pm -> Bus home = standard for the cleanliness of components for road vehicles 11pm -> Bed = textile standards for man-made fibres You have to be aware of the possible risks in your business and be ready to take them on with confidence and strategic planning. This will allow you to be prosperous and have longevity in the modern world of business.
