May Allah Almighty save the little boy. :( Ive been watching the rescue operation live on Ekattor TV for the last two hours. Dont know why they invited Amena Mohsin to give her valuable opinion on the matter! Firstly, it always pisses me off when I hear her urduish Bangla with an irritating accent. Why cant she speak proper Bangla? Secondly, this person doesnt seem to have enough general knowledge to speak on matters related to science and technology! This is what she said about the rescue operation: Ajkal to laparoscopy-r madhyome surgery kora jay, rogir shorire chhoto ekta futo kore camera dhukiye operation kore. Ami bujhte parchhi na erokom kore futo kore matite camera dhukiye bachcha ta ke keno uddhar kora jachchge na? How can she compare making holes in a human body with digging a hole into the earth 600 feet deep ? Then she asked-- pipe- er neeche jodi pani theke thake, tahole nicher sob paani keno tule fela hochhe na?. Someone reminded her that she was talking about underground water level, and it would be almost an impossible task to do what she suggested. She wasnt convinced at all, so asked the same question again. Lastly, she asked why hasnt our armed forces join the rescue operation yet. When she was told that they cant move from barrack without completing necessary formalities, she complained-- but then why havent the proper authorities send them yet? My question is-- how can a university teacher be so devoid of common sense ?
