Maybe with enough likes, American Airlines will pay attention?? :On July 17th I was booked on a wrong flight with a final destination of Santiago Dominican Republic. I wanted to go to Santiago CHILE. I made it to Miami/ my final destination gate and realized that my final flight would be going to the Dominican Republic NOT CHILE. This final flight was with American Airlines. I PROMPTLY went to the gate desk and told them this was not the flight I wanted and that it was a wrong booking. I was TOLD that my bags, now in service of American Airlines, were pulled SO I spent that evening getting a new booking. The next day, I was told, by American Airlines in Miami, that my suitcases HAD BEEN sent to the DR, NOT PULLED. I spent two hours talking to American Airline in Miami ONLY to be told that American would honestly have nothing to do with it and that I would have to file a claim only when I arrived in Chile. In Santiago Chile, American Airlines continued to be unhelpful and had me file the report through Avianca airlines ( the service through which I flew into Chile). NOW only ONE bag has been sent to Avianca in Chile and the other one is missing. In the end, it was AMERICAN AIRLINES that flew my bags to the Dominican Republic and proceeded to lose one of them. As a passenger, I did everything I was told to do. American Airlines is responsible for my lost property and the cost of it. American Airlines
