Me and my Sissy took to the road after she got home from church. We crossed the Tn. River and on to Cowboy Steakhouse for lunch buffet. Gracious, mac n cheese, English peas, breaded chicken, chicken and dressing, baked ham, rolls, cranberry sauce, green beans, baked beans, banana pudding, peach cobbler, loaded cream potatoes. The best food! She loved it! We neither had been to Decaturville, so we strolled through that quaint metropolis, turning left onto Hwy. 69 going South. Our dear friend, Norma Jean Burlison Pitts, passed away in 1988, and we neither had ever been to where she was buried. So, off of 69 we went Old Ferry Road and found Lone Oak Cemetery, where I took pics of the marker. Then, back on 69 into Hardin County, into Wayne County and through Clifton (I had not been there for many years.) on Hwy. 128 back into Perry County. We made a run through The Bunch Cemetery (one of the most incredible in Perry Co.) and, then, on up Cedar Creek and into Linden, where we hit Sonic Happy Hour for Rt. 44 diet cherry limeades! wOOf! We had a blast! Love being out rambling with my Sis! Now, Im in for the week, unless I happen to get a Dr. appointment scheduled. Ive kept the road wore out as of late.....
