Media bias is not new. ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, New York Times, Washington Post, Associated Press, etc, have been in the tank for Kennedy, Johnson (until he lied about the Vietnam War), Carter, Clinton, and now Obama. Before Rush Limbaugh, there was virtually no balance in the media. Even former staffholders from these administrations filled prominent positions at the networks. Now along comes FOX and they regularly enjoy an audience larger than that of CNN and MSNBC combined. Today, there is at least a counter-point to what was the dominant voice of the past. Much is said about the invective tone in Washington and throughout the country. This exists today because Americans know more about whats going on and when they see the reality of the federal leviathan in Washington, they cant believe it--the disbelief is directed at both parties. Super Bowl interview with Obama: should never have happened, but kudos to Bill OReilly who at least tried to get a straight answer from the President. If he hadnt interrupted Obama, however many times he did, the President wouldve droned on with his 10 minute answers. After that interview, I came away knowing that Obama is lying about the IRS, the Benghazi Affair, the Health Care debacle, and any host of other issues. The problem is that when an inordinate number of free Americans can vote themselves the goods and resources that they did not earn, with a straight face, then Barack Obama is their man. Worse? the GOP offers no cogent, coherent opposition.
