The individual selected for this position will be responsible for daily cutting of fresh beef, pork and grind. The individual will follow the production schedule to meet requirements for advertised fresh meat cuts and assist in the writing of fresh meat orders. The Meat Processor will organize and check in fresh meat deliveries while maintaining a positive working relationship with customers, team members and leadership. Qualifications Familiarity with weights and measure processes specific to meat processing Ability to understand and follow specific safety and sanitation procedures Experience in product presentation and packaging Current handjack/hilo license Experience with inventory control procedures Knowledge, Skills and Abilities High school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years prior receiving experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience. Ability to prioritize and multi-task. Ability to work independently yet have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with other team members and leadership Knowledgeably communicate with service vendors. Ability to understand proper receiving. Ability to perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Basic computer knowledge. Requirements Physical Requirements Lift and carry 10 to 50 lbs. on a regular basis Tolerate outside temperatures (heat/cold), freezers, coolers Stooping and bending Ability to operate all necessary equipment. Unload trucks This job has specific physical requirements that may require you to lift up to 50 lbs, to operate machinery with moving mechanical parts, bend, reach, kneel, squat, stand for a long period of time, or push/pull heavy loads.
